Hi Folks,

So I'm working on updating my website, and I'd appreciate comments. Basically, my plan is to get rid of thumbnails and only show "framed" images, such as those found on the home page. Any comments or suggestions?

Frames are not generally well regarded, nor easily indexed by search engines. I would drop the frames all together.

While I agree with Robert, I was too distracted by the excellent photographs to conceive of any constructive input!

Thanks for all of the comments so far. (To jstraw: My mother got to you, didn't she? ) I would like to stop using frames for page layout, but I'll have to figure out how to do that. What I like about frames is that the navigation buttons on the side are always in sight when a visitor scrolls down the main page. I'm a real newbi when it comes to making websites, and it'll take me awhile to figure out how to transfer the general look of the site to a version that doesn't use frames. I'm using Dreamweaver MX2004, BTW.

Nice stuff, Peter! I think the only thing I would change is the font size on the listing pages for articles & links. It might also be helpful if when a user selects one of those two links, a sub-menu would appear in the static listing on the side. That way you are not "burdened" by the back button.

Also, on the "links" page ... "Fine art black and white landscape photography by Craig Wells fromt he heart of California and the Sierra Nevada mounts, rivers and forests."

Just a miss-spaced word... "...from the heart..."

Nice site and your photos are great!

Nice site. Easy to navigate and read. Klaus and Murphy are brilliant. The full size pics on the home page capture one's attention immediately. Starting with the London eye is a nice touch. That's one of the best shots of the Eye I've seen.
