One thing I noticed is that several times you say 'contact me at www.donaldmillerphotgraphy.com' but I never actually saw an email link. Possibly you mean those to be email links instead of URLs.

Was looking at it last night, Donald, while you were still working on it. Looks very nice, the only thing I see right off the bat you might want to change is any place you have a "contact me" you have a link back to the main page, rather than your email.

Love the work, like the layout....looks pretty darn good in my book.

nice work. I have a few suggestions though, not sure if you want them, if not, then ignore this.
The images look noticeably soft, the intro image (untitled_fitty_six_copy.jpg) it looks almost as if the original image was say 500 pixels and then when you placed it on the website you upsized it to a larger pixel size.
the thumbnail image for suncity_small.jpg has been upsized as well in the html coding. Id resize it in photoshop so its no longer so pixelated.
your photography is gorgeous and little things like this could deter a visitor because the scans can never do the prints justice but using the highest and best quality representations of them is important I think.
I really love the work. especially the "transition" prints.

Very nice images and fluid transporting. I felt some of the thumb-nails were fuzzy but Scootermm has said it much better than I could.

Very nice indeed. Two small things - in the bio, there is a typo ("busines" should be "business"); and when you go to the print details and pricing page, you get a choice to go back to the "galleries" but in the main navigation page the "galleries" are called "portfolios".

I think the type colour and background are too similar. (The headings blend in a bit too much). Maybe the heading the colour of the text and the text a shade or three lighter.

Technical Info page is written in 3rd person context but undersigned... a mismatch IMO. In fact I generally don't like 3rd person bio's as I know the person wrote it themselves and to me it seems pretentious.

Pages load nicely (speed). I thought the images looked good on my screen. Didn't notice the soft thumbnails.

Very nice site Donald. Lovely photographs. Easy to navigate, clearly laid out and easy on the eye. I particularly liked the clear and concise Technical Information.

On navigation: I'd prefer that having chosen a photograph, I get a way to page through the photos in that gallery in sequence, like turning pages in a book. Having to jump back to each gallery's main page in order to get to the next photo is like having to close a book before you can get to the next page. It feels awkward and requires twice as many clicks.

I also agree with others' comments preferring a more neutral color scheme and a bit more contrast between text and background.

I think that navigation within the galleries could be easier with some "previous" and "next" buttons. Having to go back via the back button to select the next image is something I dislike doing (but that's just me). Also, on your Tech Info page, (and these are my opinions/observations) I have the following comments:

" The materials used in the creation of these unique images are no longer produced in the United States and are imported from several manufacturers in Europe."

Why not just say that the materials are imported from several manufacturers in Europe? Is it important to say that the materials are no longer produced in the US?

"Thus the viewer can be assured that each of these photographs are unique hand crafted creations utilizing materials first utilized in a bygone era."

How about, "Thus the viewer can be assured that each of these photographs are unique hand crafted creations made using materials that were first utilized in a bygone era."

First of all, nice Images!!

I didn't have much time to view the entire site. I do like the simplicity of the layout.

To keep this short, I did see something that bothered me at the start. On your technical page; the first sentence and paragraph mentions digital and scanning. As a photographer, I understand the first paragraph completely, but as a potential client or gallery owner that is quickly viewing your site, might take it differently.

It is just my opinion, but I would place the first disclaimer type paragraph below the rest of the information. I would rather read about the technical information regarding your art, and not about the website. -- at first glance anyway.

Just my opinion...

I think you have some worthwhile, constructive criticisms to consider here, but, as with most sites, I went immediately to the portfolios and enjoyed them very much. I like your idea of having a limited number of very strong images. They can be rotated with other ones from time to time rather than plop a vast array of stuff all at once. The other thing I paricularly like is that they're BIG! when you click on the thumbnails. Too many sites seem to fear their images will be filched and they therefore make poor quality, small images which no doubt discourages anyone's using them, but also makes them just plain hard to view. Good for you, Donald. Best of luck with it!

Easy to negotiate. The prints look OK with that brown/maroon background but the narrative isn't so easy to read in the same combination of colours. I think that what you have to say about materials etc shows somebody with attention to detail and a need to inform. These are important aspects. There's no "marketing speak" which I suspect would put off the kind of people who are likely to be your target audience. There were no false "notes" or things that jarred with me.

I agree with Shane. Don't start the paragraph with a negative; start it by highlighting your LF skills and talents.

Very nice site and work. Like the background color, but the font color is just not contrasty enough and the links on the workshop page are un-readable.
