Oh dear!
This seems to be just another example of newspaper and other news people still using the "captured on film" sentence without actually meaning the film material.
You should ask that writer, Sadie Dingfelder, what films Joel is using.

Regarding the project, it is worthy of attention, but only if it was on film for safe-keeping.
 
It does give an interesting glimpse into the minds of people who aren't in the "vs" thing, that some phrases just hang around.

This is probably one of the few places that it raised a red flag. Most people would have just said "oh good, he's photographing some animals".

There is a whole world out there people and you don't have to grab your musket or reach for a Kleenex every time you feel offended.
