That is good news. That book is the best book investment that I have made. I regularly go back to reread parts of it.

Hey Ralph,
I'll second the notion that this was the BEST ever investment I ever made for a book on the theory & practice of B & W. So glad it is popular enough to warrent yet another print run!.

Question, though, will this be the same as the second edition or will there be fantastic NEW content??? It's perfect as is but I am curious.

Thanks & cheers!

My most frequently used tech photo book. And my copy is signed ;-)

+1

Beautiful book!
If my copy is not open at my desk, it's prominently displayed on my office shelf.
Mine isn't signed, though. Poor prior planning on my part.

My copy just arrived yesterday on my day off from work. Started reading before being interrupted by an afternoon nap I had been planning/hoping for all this past week.

Lol I guess it sounds like it put me to sleep, but that's not the case. I plan to read more tonight. :D

BTW I didn't put 2&2 together about you being the author until I opened this thread.

I too purchased the 2nd edition and it will be my only book for exposure and printing. I can't imagine that a 3rd edition will ever be needed. But is sure needs reprinting as it is THE most important volume and wealth of practical knowledge.

So now I proceed better informed as my first foray into printing. And have the best information to mature my exposure of film. Thank you, Ralph and Chris for this otherwise irretrievable wealth.

Good to see it will be reprinted. The book is really a gem. It was one of my first books on printing and helped me a lot to get started. I still look into it on a regular basis.

I have many books on photography, both technical and visual. Way Beyond Monochrome is one of the very best in both respects.

I too love the book and would like to express my thanks to Ralph and Chris Woodhouse for sharing their experience with us in such an excellent way!
