To whom it may concern,

the printing schedule for the 2nd edition of Way Beyond Monochrome is on track. Actually, all books are printed and bound, and I'm holding an advanced copy in my hand right now. I'm very pleased with the printing quality and glad to see the first hardcover version of this book in print.

15 advanced copies will be at Photokina in Cologne on Sep, 21st.

The rest of the books are on the boat from Hong Kong to the US right now, which means the official release date of Oct, 15th will be held.

Thanks for all of your support!

The you will be able to compare the 1st and 2nd edition. I bet you will be pleased. There is so much more information in the 2nd edition without losing anything from the 1st.

I pre-ordered back in June, I think, and I checked Amazon U.S. for a est. shipping date. It shows Nov. 2, 2010 as an estimated shipping date. I would love to get it sooner.

Ralph some of us in APUG actually live in the U.K and ordered the book through Elsevier in the U.K. Can we expect to have the same despatch routine from Hong Kong and the same release date of Oct 15th?

Thanks

Amazon.uk lists the book to be released on Oct, 15th. I must assume the publisher (also having a major branch office in the UK) must have it at that time or before then.

Thanks again for the heads up. I'll probably be getting a copy in February for myself unless relations come through beforehand. Awesome, Ralph.

Amazon just released a Kindle version and Borders is now selling a pdf version of the book. I prefer to have a treeware version in my hands, but I can see the advantages of being able to search through the text.

Well, that is VERY cool, Ralph! I did just received the treeware version and loving it. BUT, it is nice to have it on my iPad now next to the enlarger!!

Yes. I did indeed get a treeware copy of WBM2 under the tree this morning. And, excepting travelling to spend this afternoon and evening with family and posting here, the book has been under my nose ever since. Well, back to it.

Thanks again, Ralph, for such a beautiful book.

My uncle gave an Amazon gift card to me for Christmas. I guess I know what I'm buying with it!
