made it to the beach house in mexico with all the chemicals in my checked bag, including a full thing of ironout!, dry pool acid, a bath crystal container full of potasium bisulfite and rodinal. but it turns out it is next to impossible to get distilled water here. there is none at home deport, walmart costco or and other store. the only place that has it is 1 upscale pharmacy and they want $5 us per liter for it. not sure why, but thats how it goes. so can I use purified water for xtol stock, fixer and for reversal processing, the chemical reversal step which uses ironout! which really needs distilled water. my place here has a reverse osmosis system so the tap water is very clean. and the purified water is $2 for 10 liters. i am gonna use ocean water (its very clean at my place) for a hypo wash and then normal ilford wash after (the ocean water is very cheap, i mean free).

any thoughts?

The reverse osmosis system should take care of all your problems. Use the tap water.

RO is practically the same as distilled these days, for anything that us mere mortals without chemistry degrees might need.
Just check though, if you're got an RO system, make sure that there's not a chlorine dosing system on the other end of it too.

Have you got access to a portable air conditioning unit? Mine makes a couple of pints a day of "distilled" water

I just use the same bottled water every time I mix up developer. I know it's not the same as distilled but I figured at least I won't have as much fluctuation as in tap water and I can get it almost everywhere.
