Wat-Air Film Washer

Can someone with a Wat-Air film washer, in particular the model that is clear and has a transparent blue base, tell me what the diameter is of the washer area? Or if the washer itself can accommodate patterson type reels or if it is the SS type only.

3 3/8 inches. Steel reel just fit into it. I'm not sure a Patterson would. I don't have one to try.

Wat Air made a second model to fit the Paterson (and Unicolor) plastic reels. The inside diameter of that model is about 4 inches and can be extended for 5 120 Paterson reels by using a 4 inch DWV (PVC drain pipe) coupler. My Nikor SS Wat Air washer is tinted light blue and the larger diameter Paterson washer is clear.

+1 to what darkroommike said. I just checked 2 earlier today. One fits both SS and Paterson, the other just SS. Both are labeled Wat-Air. The SS only one is shorter, but I don't know that that is indicative of the diameter.

My Nikor SS Wat Air washer is tinted light blue and the larger diameter Paterson washer is clear.

For the SS Wat Air, is just the base that is tinted light blue or is it the entire washer has a light blue tint to the plastic?

Mine, a eight s.s. reel model, is all blue but I have seen some that only had the base tinted.

And the 2 I referred to are both clear tubes with a blue base.
