The Kodak E-6 Kit technical guide says that I should give my film two 1 minute continuous washes followed by another 2 minute wash. I'm filling my dev tank, rolling it for a minute, pouring and repeating until the water is clear instead of pink. With that procedure it takes about 1/2 hour to finish washing. Oy. It is making me crazy.

Film is either Provia 100F or 400X.

Should I be leaving that pink dye on the film? Am I doing something terribly wrong? How can get a 4 minute wash?

Thanks!

I have always used a 6 minute wash in a tank that brings continuous water in from the bottom, and exits at the top...then the final rinse/stabilizer. I think you need more changes of water, if you are not using continuous flow of water.
