Put on a clean shirt this morning, and found an exposed roll of 35mm Fuji SuperHQ 200 in the pocket. So its been exposed to warm water and detergents. Is it toast? I think probably. Anyone care to venture an opinion, before I bother to have it developed? Perhaps I have invented a new process?:D

Get it developed anyway. If its toast, ah well... If it isn't, then its a bonus!

Was it in the canister? Did it go through the dryer? In canister, proabably alright. If not in canister and feels dry, it is toast.

I did that once, and they turned out fine. I discovered it when I took the jeans out of the washing machine. I figured the film was wet, might as well keep it wet! So I put it in a glass of water, and took it to a nearby camera store to be processed.

They thought I was nuts, needless to say, and said it would never work! I convinced them a little water wouldn't hurt the film. they unrolled it to dry, then put it through the machine. Couple of prints came out with some light purply stains.

I got the last laugh!!

Did it again a few years later, but this time, the film went through the dryer. It was toast!! Literally!!

Go ahead and develop it. If it is toast, make some prints and call it art...

Put on a clean shirt this morning (snip)

I fear what this statement implies about what you usually wear each other morning.... :D

I did this too. I sent it in, and the results had weird splotches and streaks. Just try and duplicate that in photoshop!!

Yeah, its 35mm in the canister, went through the washer, and the dryer, but the dryer doesn't get too hot. I'll process it, and report in.

Well, actually its a kind overshirt that I wear for working, with big velcro fastened pockets, kind of like a photo vest, but with sleeves, so unless I'm a piggy, I get a couple of days out of them.

Hey, it wasn't one of those "man-skirts" was it?

My wife washed and dried her cell phone. Not only did it live to tell the tale, but it remained in service for another 6 or 8 months. Our 3-year old finally separated the phone at the hinge. Ohter than that, it was a prety tough phone. I hope your film comes out okay!

Cute boy! ... and not a spot or stain on his clothing. I'll have to put my film through the washer and dryer next time I take pics of my mini-me's!!

I'm a bit surprised the film survived so well. I would have expected it to have come out of the cassette in one congealed mass. Thanks for sharing your learning experience.

I have examined the prints and negs, and nothing indicates the treatment they received. I am impressed. I had expected some effect from the detergents at least.

I would have expected the whole roll to have stuck together going from the wash to the dryer. That's great.

I love it when you do something seemingly catostrophic and everything turns out OK.
