As the title says, I have a Wards am551 with a shutter that won't fire. I've had the bottom and top of the camera off, but the problem may lie in or behind the lens. Not sure.
I have a new battery in it and the connections that I can see to the battery housing look fine, I don't have the lens on Auto, and have tried "everything" to get it to fire with no luck.
The self timer tab on the lens can be moved back and forth very easily over its full travel and its under spring tension. It does not "set".
Any wisdom on how to get the shutter to release short of sending it to Greg Weber?
