Wait to find a standard/zero correction diopter, or just buy another PME5?

I'm new to Hasselblad. I Googled enough to ensure I could find a viewfinder compatible with my 501C/M. If I noticed the "+1D" visible above the eyepiece on the PME51 listing on eBay I ended up buying, it wouldn't have meant anything to me. It didn't occur to me I would need to ensure a potential viewfinder was not optimized for incorrect vision. In any case, now I have a PME51 in excellent shape that I can't use because the image never comes into focus. After a search of eBay, it looks like only "adjustment" eyepieces are up for sale, not standard ones. If one somehow shows up, it'll cost near $200, it looks like?

I guess I should just call this purchase a sunk cost and start over? My emotions are set against admitting total failure here, that's probably irrational at this point. Your thoughts?
