W2D2+ negs for POP?

Hey,
I've heard that W2D2+ developer makes negatives that respond equally well to regular enlarger papers and to platinum prints. Does anyone know if the same negatives would most likely have enough contrast range to make good prints on POP? Thanks a lot,

I haven't used W2D2+, so I can only give a little about POP in general.

POP needs rather extremely contrasty negatives. My best ones have been developed normally, then bleached and redeveloped in puer pyro without sulfite...

I have had decent results with Pyrocat-HD too, negs that are even printable on VC enlarging papers. Graded? No go - the stain blocks blue very well, and there are no grade -2 papers.

Most likely W2D2+ can produce the desired contrast range for POP. I've not used W2D2+ but have used W2D2 to make enlarged negatives with APHS film printed on palladium and cyanotype coated papers. The stain incurred on the bf is someone less than what you would get with a developer like PMK.

Pyrocat would probably work fine as it is an energetic developer that can produce effective contrast ranges with UV based processes. Sandy King can probably be more informative. Of course the inherent contrast of the film you use will also be important regardless of which pyro based developer you select. FP4+ might be a good choice.
