I work at Milwaukee Public Schools as educational assistant for K3. I am in charge of technology, STEM, our school's website. I started a STEM club 3 years ago. Last summer I decided I wanted the STEM club members after the learn about light in science to learn how light is used in art. I learned over 40 years ago from my father and then my uncle darkroom, but I am rusty. The last time I developed B&W film or processed my own film was 35 years ago. I am in the process of relearning everything. I also don't know where to start in teaching them photography.

I am looking for someone who would like to volunteer some time to students and teach photography and darkroom afterschool or during school to the 4th grade students.
I have:
  • B&W bulk film (iso 400)
  • about 10-35mm cameras, 2 trin reflex camera and one Crown Grahics 23
  • parts cutout for 7 pinhole cameras and the ability to 3d print pinhole cameras.
  • 6 or 7 4x5 film holders that I was going to design a camera around or 3d print.
  • different size photopaper given to me by schools and photo paper ordered.
I turned a coat room into a darkroom and I 9 Beseler 23c series enlargers, of which I am going to have 4 working and the rest used as parts. I have and order for darkroom chemistry and tools on the way.
Anyone volunteering would have to go through a background check.
