By this way , this technlogy cuts battery use for digital camera displays because it is a battery itself.

This could be used at cars windows to see more at night. You coat the glass with semiconductor and voltage sensitive dye and all night would be more comfortable and secure.

you will need a lens in front of a car windows in order to use them as light intensifier (they will act as matte/focussing screen so no lens - no image formed)...

That new metamaterials which made from thin semiconductor and thin layer of gold with pores are good contender.
