Hello everyone. First post over here, so thank you in advance.

I bought this lens with some other old lenses and can't find any info about it. I read (https://www.antiquecameras.net/images/voigt.pdf) it should be from 1886, by the serial number, but I think it looks much newer. Maybe someone can give me some light. I unassembled and cleaned it and the lenses are incredibly nice, althoug it was full of dirt where I bought it. It was mixed with some soviet lenses and various cameras. I made a very nice deal with the pack of lenses. But with this one I'm really lost.

I hope someone can help me. Thank you !

Hi everybody,

A first for me too.

I think you will find your lens in this catalogue https://www.antiquecameras.net/1890lenscatalogue.html on pages 10-11. It looks like a wide-angle Euryscope. Four elements in two groups, f12.5, 90 degree angle of view. The serial number seems to be OK, the "Wien" engraving ended by 1887 and from then on only Braunschweig was engraved on the lens.
