Here’s a nice looking Bessa RF with a coated Color-Heliar lens, in nice shape. Lens is clean and clear. Shutter is accurate at all speeds (was CLA’d before I bought it). Viewfinder is clear, coupled rangefinder is accurate. Focus is smooth. Bellows are light-tight. It makes excellent 6x9 and 6x4.5 images.
A couple of minor annoyances on this copy - when opening the camera, the shutter release lever doesn’t always want to be in its proper position behind the release lever on the shutter. The solution is your pinky finger to help guide it into the right position (while slowly opening the bellows). This may be an easy fix for someone who is in the know. After it is set up right, it works every time. Second little annoyance is that the back is a little “sticky” to open - it doesn’t just pop open and sometimes need a little “help” with a fingernail. I guess a tight seal is better than a loose one…
The extras - a nice Kontur 6x9 / 6x 4.5 viewfinder and add-on accessory shoe. The 6x4.5 mask is included. Also, the original leather case is included, in decent shape, but the strap connectors are both broken.
