Found Voigtlander Bessa 6x9 folder with Skopar lens

I'm looking for a Voigtlander Bessa 6x9 folder with Skopar lens. Any model Bessa I, II, RF are ok, as long as it is in a clean proper working condition. I'm not interested in the Vaskar lens, and my budget probably won't allow for Heliar (but I'm open to it if you have a good deal ). Shipping to CA 94010. Thank you!

Don't write off getting one w/ a Heliar lens. I saw an RF w/ an uncoated Heliar recently that sold for less than $200. It had some issues, but the lens was clean.

I've owned many Voigtlander folders over the years, mostly the Bessa II and RF cameras. What I found is that the Skopar lens is sharpest, but doesn't exhibit that Heliar 3-D look like a.......Heliar.

Not surprising, but don't overlook the Heliomar lens. It's a 3 element lens that is much better than it should be. Why it would often give 3-D pics I don't know, but mine did.

@momus I'm totally with you on Heliar: I am a huge fan. In fact, I have Heliar 210/4.5 large format lens which is my all time favorite. It would be great if I can get a Bessa folder with Heliar, but looking at the market price I was afraid that will bust my budget.

I'm not familiar with Heliomar, and wondering if it is similar to Vaskar as a triplet. I will look up my Voigtlander Report to find out...

I have a Bessa RF with a Helomar lens these days. I used to have a Bessa II with a Skopar. Looking at the pictures there is a difference. The Bessa RF is older of course and the Helomar is uncoated. Still it does a fine job. If you are looking for super sharp though a Bessa II with the Skopar is the one to get.

I agree, the Skopar is definitely sharp. The Bessa RF models tend to be lower priced compared to the Bessa II cameras, but the optics are the same except for the lens coatings. The Heliar on the one below had no coatings at all, and uncoated lenses are my favorite for B&W. These cameras are of a very high quality.

This one had a rare 6x6 mask, and you could actually change the camera's viewfinder to that, but it was more trouble than it was worth. If I wanted 6x6 there were better, smaller cameras for that. I remember having a small Bessa 66 w/ what I think was a 75mm Heliar.

All the smaller Voigtlander Heliars seem to image the same no matter what their focal length. I don't know about the LF lenses, I never had that much money to invest in a lens. One could buy a nice mobile home for what those things cost.

Found one 6x9 folder. Not Bessa, but Agfa Record II with Solinar lens.
