The lens has one internal "smudge" or "smear" which does not appreciably affect the pictures. It could be mildew? I shot some tests with a digital SLR and the images looked OK, but the low price reflects this flaw. It could be cleaned but I'll leave that up to the buyer. Everything works OK...focus, zoom, and auto-diaphragm. Excellent cosmetics and no scratches on the glass.
Made in Japan in the 1970's, I think.
