Vivitar Power units
I recently acquired a Vivitar Low Voltage Power Unit and cord in mint condition. Every thing worked fine up to the Vivitar 283 battery compartment, the power connector is shaped like a 283 battery holder , in that there is only one way to insert it. However the Power connector has the two positive connections in the wrong positions .relative to the standard battery pack for the 283. Before I start tearing a part the shell of the connector has any body ever had any experience with these units. My Vivitars are at least 15 to 25 years old and are identical in construction.
