Business brings me to Dublin next weekend for a few days. Next Sunday (the 27th) all I have planned that day is to walk the streets and capture some images. It's the first time I've visited, and I'd like to avoid the touristy stuff. Any suggestions would help.
Chris. Do a lot of work around the city you might get some ideas looking at my Flickr, I describe the locations quite well, Dublin set and the Toy camera sets. Hopefully the weather is good, something I dont photograph that you may like are the buskers generally around Grafton St in the afternoon. There is also a music festival in Temple Bar, do check out in advance.
If you're into street type work, the Moore st,/Parnell st area just on the northside of the liffey is pretty good. Lots of different nationalities and market sellers etc. Should be worth a ramble. In around Temple bar, although touristy, can be interesting as there are lots of little details etc that can make a great photo.
Eddie, thank you very much. I will look at your work for inspiration. A busker is a busker; I'm looking more for residents being who they are. I tend to go up to people and ask if I can take their picture rather than being in stealth-mode. Do you think as long as I am cordial and polite I'll do okay with this strategy?
