I photographed a light gray card on a black card on 35mm Tri-X,developed in Rodinal at 68F with 60s initial agitation, times as below, and made 10x prints of the gray/black edge. There was a lighter line on the gray card along this edge.
1:100 10s every 3m till 27m-minimal agitation
1:200 10s every 15m till 60m-extreme minimal agitation
1:200 10s after 40m till 80m-semi-stand
1:200 till 90m-stand
If I shuffled the prints I could always pick out the minimal agitation and often the extreme minimal agitation (less prominent light lines) but the stand and semi-stand were hard to tell apart. The light line was about 1mm wide on the 10x print.Later I photographed some architecture and made an 11x print. (Tri-X,1:200.stand 90m)There is a light line in the gray sky at the ege of a dark building.
I would like to try this on a higher resolution film. Are there any candidates for stand developing? Thanks.

My standard development routine for negatives I enlarge is 1:100 Rodinal & stand development. I pour in the developer, turn over the canister once, let it sit for 30 minutes, turn it over once more and let it sit for another 30 minutes. (Total development time is 1 hour). I've never had any trouble with uneven development or bromide drag. Although you can't see much difference in a scan, if you want to see scans of prints made this way, visit my Website at www.scottkillian.com. All of the enlargements shown were made this way (the last couple pages in my new work section).

Alan, I just posted a series of tests with rodinal and fp4 stand developing. I had no problems with unevenen development or streaking. I'm only enlarging 4x5 to 11x14 and contacting 8x10. How are you processing? I used tubes and let the film stand upright. I had 400ml of 1:200 at 68F per 4x5 sheet and what amounts to 1300ml per 8x10 sheet.

Bobby,
I'm just using 35 mm plastc reels in a 500ml tank.So far I had no problem with streaks although they are visible on the exposed ends of the film. I saw your threads on FP4/Rodinal,most encouraging. But for my small film I would like to see if something with higher resolution can be stand developed in Rodinal so I can do landscapes.
