Not sure if I'm allowed to post this, but I thought this was such a beautiful lens. Wasn't sure if any of you guys (or gals!) out there would be interested. I've purchased from Chuck before...he has some amazing photography gear (which I'm sure alot of you already know). At any rate...see whatcha' think:

I really don't care if you can post this or not! I find it very interesting and appreciate you taking the time to bring it to my attention. I would bust my buttons for the Darlot, but have about the same need for it that I do a side saddle.

Chuck Rubin has some really really nifty old goodies--really--Jim Galli would be envious (I know I am!) I bought a 7x17 Korona from him 2 years ago---$800 and it was in fabulous condition--I've not been in there in a while but I can just gawk all day--sure they have the yard sale group of 35 mm cheapo stuff but they have some fabulous early photographic stuff-- some beautiful camera and piles and piles of obscure what nots---we'll not even mention the vintage glass lying about the store---the digi and 35 mm crowd is probably oblivious to Chucks treasures but this crowd here in APUG was just have their chin hit the floor in amazement !!

Well, I believe it was.....I was able to acquire one of the two lens, but due to the fact I had purchased a large petzval lens the nite before, I could not afford BOTH.....I am sorry I missed the Darlot.....BUT, that is how the free enterprise system goes....

In fact, I had two other items in the sights last nite....bid as much as I could....But you know who got them.....Mr. Area 51 himself.....

But again, I have already told Jim there were no hard feelings....BUT, maybe we APUGgers need to coordinate our wish lists so we can agree when not to bid on items someone else has their sights and if there cannot be a "meetings of the minds"....THEN so be it....it is PETZVALS at 20 paces....)))
