DESCRIPTION: Vintage Ansco Karomat 35mm Rangefinder, Xenar 50mm 2.8 Lens, Synchro Compur Shutter. As shown.
CONDITION: For age I would say it‘s in very good cosmetic condition. Lens glass is mostly clean with just light haze and I see no fungus, but I do see faint scratches on the front element. Shutter works at all speeds and sounds very accurate to the ear. Rangefinder seems to be working, it has an upper and lower section in the viewfinder while trying to focus and I'm able to get the lower portion to line up, which I think is right but it may need adjusting. Bellows look good just a little dusty. Blades clean and dry. PLEASE NOTE: The camera has been sitting around for quite some time without being used. The rangefinder focus lever is VERY stiff. It‘s very hard to move, but, it does work. Also, the film advance/shutter cocking lever is also very stiff but working. So, even though the camera is functional, the focus and advance/cocking linkage needs to be cleaned and lubed to work smoothly...Then you would have a nice little rangefinder.
