This is perhaps the least expensive fully functional 8X10 Field Camera that you could hope to find. The tripod you see parts of is not part of the sale, just the camera and the lens.

It sat somewhere in the daily bright sun for so long that the normal dark brown stain has gone almost fully blonde. All of the functions are working. You can enjoy waxing this up and really bringing some beauty back to it. Get a doggie collar for a small dog and make a nice new handle for the top.

With a couple of holders and some film you can begin making exquisite contact prints as soon as you take it out of the shipping box.

Lens: Is a Classic Turner Reich 8X10 triple convertible. It is 12" with front and rear group in place, 21" if you remove the front group and use the rear alone, and 28" if you remove the rear group and use the front alone. 28 may be a stretch for this old girl, I didn't try it. Scales for all 3 focal lengths are on the shutter. Lens glass is exceptionally nice for it's age and type. Much better than most I've seen.

The shutter is an old terd. None of the speeds really work right and the trip lever spring doesn't return it. That simply means you'll be using it like a barrel lens in "T" most often unless you find a better Ilex 4 some place. But with ASA 100 film it's easy to be stopped down in the 1/4 - 1 second and longer exposure range. Look up 'Galli Shutter' on You Tube. It works. Or think about mounting a Packard shutter behind the lens perhaps. One more thing, I didn't have a flange for the lens so it's a tight friction fit in the lens board. Works just fine as is.

Buyers beware. This isn't for you perfectionists or beginners or faint of heart. This old girl would be right at home in front of Ansel or Morley Baer. No returns please. Do ask questions. I didn't mess with the piece of tape on the bellows. Maybe I should have put a prettier piece of black cloth gaffers tape up there.

$495 + $32 for the post man

Have an offer at eBay I may be forced to consider but disappointing with their usury fees added. If you want this speak up and make a fair offer here like $450?
