Vintage 1950's Kalimar Reflex SLR camera by Fujita - looking for information

I have a Kalimar Reflex SLR camera by Fujita and was trying to find any information about the camera that I can find. I noticed that one sold on this site in August for around $150 with an allowance in case the camera needed some work. I had no idea the camera had that kind of value. The seller referred to the camera as a cheap Hasselblad. Mine appears to be in working order but I know virtually nothing about the camera. Anyone with knowledge of the camera or its history?

Mount them side by side and shoot stereo photographs, although I am not sure where the headphones would go.

Nah... its a lot easier using the Linhof B-Kardan and 'shifting'... as long as you remember to 'change' film holders.

A few times I've managed to get 'stereo' on the one negative

Instruction manual for Kalimar Reflex

Sirius Glass initially posted a link to the Butkus camera site. Thank you Sirius. I was not aware of that site. Although the Kalimar Reflex isn't listed on his site, I found it by searching his site. He lists it as an orphan camera. Here is a link to the instruction manualand pctures of what the camera looks like.

I thought it was a cool looking camera, but I have never used it. It appears to be fully functional.

Do any of you repair your cameras?

The shutter curtains on my Kalimar Reflex don't close completely after a photo is taken. Rick Oleson's web site for repairing Kalimar Reflex cameras shows some sketches for adjusting the shutter curtains. Is curtain #1 the lower curtain or the upper curtain? If the shutter curtain doesn't close completely should the shutter curtain adjustment be tightened or loosened? Or should I go poke a hole in the ice on the nearest lake and fish for rainbow trout and leave the camera adjustments alone?
