Has anyone had problems using the the above enlarger for 6x6 negs & experiencing vignetting on their prints? I bought the enlarger on E-bay & it came with a difusing screen & a thick greenish tinted glass which I've heard discribed is a IR filter. Stopping down the lens (Anaret 4.5/50) makes no difference to the amount of the vignetting. Should I be using an 80 lens for 6x6 negs? The lens thread is very small, is it unique to Opemus? Any information anyone can give me would be very helpfull.

I would certainly try a 75-80mm lens for 6x6, they can be found on e-bay very cheaply (got one just last week for 99p + £2.50 p+p) You may need an adaptor ring if the thread is different, but most seem to be 39mm thread, although a krokus 66 I have uses 42mm

A minimum of 75-80mm is necessary. A 50 will vignette. Adapters are available for the unique Meopta thread to 39mm. BTW, the Meopta represents great "bang for the buck" in an enlarger. Stick with it.

Thanks for the advice, the more I've poked around this weekend everything points to that. Cheers!

Thanks for your advice. I've found a supplier of an adapter for the Opemus so that a 39mm threaded lens can be used. Several 80mm lens around so should be in business soon. Thanks again.
