Nice work, @Andreas Thaler ! I love #14; it reminds me of a color image I once made in Vienna of a similar motif. The combination of clean glass, reflections and the framing by the old architecture somehow summed up the feeling of those busy streets in the city center for me.

I'm always amazed that these figures, faces and decorations from the 19th century survive so well over time.

I am very satisfied with the workflow used here.

Ilford XP2 Super for black and white, C-41 process from Bellini, developed in the Filmomat, Nikon Coolscan 5000 with VueScan, conversion in Negative Lab Pro and optimization in Photoshop 2024.

The „fake“ grain (the XP2 Super works on a color negative basis) is very clear in the scanner. Therefore I set the grain reduction to LIGHT when scanning and then softened it further in Photoshop.

The grain (as well as sharpening) depends on how the photo is output and what viewing distance is intended.

I don't need to say anything else about the Nikon F3/T, it is a perfect photo machine.

The Tamron 60-300 is an excellent partner. Easy to use, sharp, some vignetting and moderate barrel distortion, but easy to correct in Photoshop.

Those are beautiful Andreas. I wish I could show Indianapolis over the centuries, but go back more than one and there's not much other than trees and mud here. I really do envy those of you that live in the midst of history's beautiful creations.

Taking photos is certainly healthier than staring at tiny parts for hours during repair projects
