Does anyone know of film recorders similar to the Polaroid Freeze Frame?
The Freeze Frame apparently runs directly to your tv, as opposed to most other film recorders of the time that require software to send an image from a computer. (like the lasergraphics)
Im looking for a simple way of recording something digital onto film.
Reason for asking is, I think the Freeze Frame's CRT resolution is not that high, I had looked into it and now forget what the resolution is...but yeah, I don't think its very good. I think its 640x480.
Wondering if there were other film/slide recorders (35mm) that you could just directly plug into a tv or computer without software.
If not that, then what is the best modern way to record something digital on film in quality without spending a fortune?
Cheers

The Polaroid film recorder likely is from a period when TVs still were analog, thus had an analog output signal. (The first Polaroid models are from 1983.)
The respective film recorder then either was completely analog too or had an A/D transformer.
You however have a digital output signal.

Hm, sounds like a bit of a hassle then.
Do you know of any digital to film/slide companies?
I know of colorslide.com, but I know nothing about them.

If you have a tablet that can display 2K pixels across, you can make your own film recorder with a flat field macro lens, a dark box and some experimentation.

It's a bit more complicated than that, but that's the general idea. For still camera, it's much easier as you don't have to synchronize the frame rate. Use a shutter speed of about 1/30th to 1/60th, slightly defocus the pixels and experiment a bit.

I see what you mean. I don't know how to yet but I would look for a video player software that can play frame by frame and then somehow interface with the software to trigger the single frame shots on your movie camera.

Yes, that's where it gets interesting... All simple in theory, but... you'll see if you try it.
