Hi APUG community,

I am new here, and the reason I have been led me to APUG is simply because of a new found love for and desire to create Large Format.
I am an avid photographer, purely photographing people I encounter in my various walks of life, exclusively using analog and traditional equipment and forms of capturing (mostly medium format and some 35mm also). I love the interaction with the making of the image as much as I do the interaction with the sitter themselves.

This series of tintype images from Victoria Will Sundance 2015 has really captured my imagination and has been the inspirational catalyst for me to try my hand at tintypes for my work.

This is the video Profoto produced:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D5F13q2Z39M

And a article someone has put together on it:
http://petapixel.com/2015/04/08/tin...-the-sundance-film-festival-by-victoria-will/

Even though this isnt the only example of an interesting tintype only project in recent memory, it is a great example of tintype portraiture work in a modern way I cant remember seeing before. And the reason for this thread is my attempt to get some information and insights into the inner workings of this shoot, as well as the creation of the plates...

I'm interested in 1) the specifics and technical aspects of how she is shooting & 2) the development process of the plates them selves.

I dont know if this is the right place for this thread so Ill leave it there for now - but still, enjoy the work of Mrs Will and be inspired! Have a great day
