I have used The Photo Ephemeris (Pro) and Google Earth (Pro) for MANY years with no real issues. However, recently for some unknown reason when trying to use the GEP program specifically over Joshua Tree National Park it's a lost cause. I can review the area around the park and zoom into close viewing but anything in the park is extremely fuzzy.
Anyone else noticed any issues with GEP viewing lately?
Thank you in advance for your response.

Did you check the overflight date? It could have been during the fire.

Hi Drew, the date of the image was May of 2023. What is odd is I used the program within a week or so and it was clear as all other areas surrounding the park. 29 Palms to the north and Salton Sea to the south are all clear right now but the park is mostly blurry throughput .
It suggests turning off the LAYERS. Which is basically items I have mapped in the park. I have a lot of those as I've traveled and photographed in the park for years. Even with the LAYERS turned off the park is still fuzzy. I've done all the cache deletes and other suggestions too.
Thankfully I had already printed out the map I need for tomorrow.
If someone has GEP on their PC and would look at J-Tree NP it might give me an idea of it's a "ME ISSUE" or the GEP program failing.
Thank you for your response, Drew.

I frequently have to backtrack and clear any Cookies history in order to keep Google Earth from retaining its own version of brain fog. Annoying.

Drew & Dan, some good news. After poking at the Google Earth Pro for awhile I found a bit of a work around for the blurry or fuzzy views I was having of the Joshua Tree NP recently.
At the top of the program there are various listings of drop downs and one is the "Show Historical Imagery". It's a slider bar that allows you to go back in date as to when the satellite photo was taken. I just backed up a year or so and it cleared the image up immediately. Although it reverts back to the current image coming & going in and out of the program it's no big thing. Again, I use the program weekly along with the TPE program as well.

Once again, thank you both for sharing your thoughts on the issue.
