I recently found a bottle of ORWO A140, which actually is gazillion years old amidol. It looks darker than the usualy described "light gray powder", it's more like crushed graphite and is sparkling and shiny. I believe it's a matter of oxidation. Do I have to put more quantity than the described in various formulae and if yes, does anybody know a conversion ratio or something like that.

Thanx in advance, Yani

Michael Smith has amidol that was put in the bottle in 1903. He still uses it. You can will it to your heirs and I'm sure it will work wonderfully for them with no adjustments to the formula.
