I mounted it in the Speed Graphic and did some shots with it.

Obviously Simplex was after the best at any cost. They were the leaders very early in movie projectors.

It has one chip in one of the rear glasses. No affect on the images. I would blacken it I think. I didn't do anything to it when I did the photos. They're gorgeous.

It vignettes 4X5. It might be the perfect one for 4X5 head and shoulder portraits where you want darkened swirly corners. $195 + shipping
