Hi- Up here in Northern Vermont we've got the first hints of color starting, it's been pretty dry for a while, but there was plenty of rain (read all of June) early in the summer, so my local weather guy suggested it would be a good season for color. Stock up on the new Velvia 50 and head on up!

Hmm - I live in NH and given the way everything here has wilted, I would think the color this year isn't going to be that great - it's looking to me like the the leaves are going turn and fall off the trees over a long period instead of all turning at once in a riot of color.

As we speak, the rain is falling copiously. I'm looking through shots around the house from the last few years and it seems to me the good-old foliage is right on time. The few trees I have seen turning are looking quite promising. Anything would be better than 2005. So all you New Yorkers and New Jersyites, hop in your $80,000 Teutonic sedans and bring us poor ignorant country dwellers some much-needed tourist dollars!!

Hmm - yes well since you're further north than I am, things might be better for you. However, where I am everything is still green and wilting. Peak color doesn't happen here until Oct. We also got some rain today - hopefully we'll get a lot more.
