Hey guys,

I'm organizing another group buy from my contact in Japan.

I've already gotten enough orders from others to make the actual purchase but I wanted to extend it to the community here as well.

It basically works like this, I collect the money, send it to my contact in Japan, I get it shipped to me and then distribute it to everyone. I've been doing this for about 2 years and it seems to have worked well so far.

I do this about 2-3 times a year, so the next order probably won't be till after the summer is close to over so get it while it's good.

I only really order the stuff you can't get in the USA since it's not a "for profit" venture and I'm buying wholesale.

Prices are the same as the last order

4x5 Velvia50 (20 sheet box) $120
8x10 Velvia50 (20 sheet box) $360
8x10 Acros100 (20 sheet box) $195

FREE SHIPPING CONUS (Continental United States).

It's probably not financially worth shipping outside the US but MAYBE Canada for an additional fee, I generally ship at night using the automated shipping machine at the USPS office so I don't usually get to talk to people to do special pricing so it all ships in Priority Flat Rate boxes.

---------------

HOW IT WORKS - PM me here, say "I'm in for 2 boxes of X and 1 box of Y" and I'll give you my PayPal email, I only accept PayPal because this is a pass through to the guy in Japan, there's a small buffer for the yen conversion but that's it. I'll need the exact amount listed above, as I'm not a business so the margins are carefully done, so either send as gift or compensate for PayPal fees, and when the last person sends the money we wait about 3-4 weeks for delivery although lately he's been pretty fast on the shipping I like to manage peoples expectations in case of any delays.

PLEASE also include your email so I can add you to the list.

Feel free to ask questions and PM me if you want to go in on this.

I'll give it about a week or so as I don't want to have the main guy who's already ordered wait too long.

--------

PS I've been asked about specialty cuts, so far no luck, I do have someone interested in a whole freight of it in ULF sizes but haven't heard from my guy if Fuji will do that for a large enough order. Suffice to say for all intents and purposes this is only about the 3 films listed above. Trust me I wish I could help get other sizes.

Please emember you only have about a week to get in on this, let's say by Thursday May 5th to be safe so I can send the order itself on Friday.

What do I get out of this? Well I shoot 8x10 and want this film to keep being made, so the more people that buy it in theory, the longer it will be around for me to shoot, but also just to help the film loving community have access to this wonderful film. And finally by going in with others I don't have to cover the expense of such large quantities all by myself and in essence get reduced shipping costs and the shipping is spread amongst everyone's order.

Also, this is my own thing, it has no affiliation with APUG or anyone else, just something I decided to do to help others get this wonderful film. There's also a Facebook group for this if you want to follow along, feel free to PM me as I don't want to link to outside sites, per the rules.

That's about it.

Be well,

~Stone

(there was a url link here which no longer exists)

Rachelle explained the types of Fujibro paper that are readily available in Japan. I'd like to try (20 or 100 sheets, but preferably 100) the WP AM (semi-matte, variable contrast) in 8x10. Is it possible to have your contact get some for this group buy? Thanks in advance for checking.

Hey Sal, excellent question. The likely answer is YES. I'll check with my guy.

HOWEVER the box the guy ships in is for 8x10 size "shapes" so if you're looking for anything bigger than 8x10 I might have to add some kind of additional shipping cost for a separate box.

I'll get back to you on this.

Hey guys. Apparently Fuji and the rest of the country is on vacation, so there's a little extension on this until the holiday is over. I haven't actually looked but I'm waiting to hear back on and special order requests so the order didn't happen as originally planned.

I JUST received word back on the print paper though. I was getting a little worried since my guy hasn't responded but now that I know it's a big holiday over there and Fuji was closed it all makes sense.

So I'll give everyone another week, new deadline this upcoming Thursday. Sorry again, really don't keep track of my Japanese holidays

Your wish is my command!

NEW ADDITION

8x10 Fujibro WP AM (semi-matte, variable contrast) print paper (20 sheets box) $30 (2 box minimum)

Anything bigger will change the shipping cost a lot, so I can ask but this price is based on the way the shipper in Japan sends stuff, bigger boxes change everything so we try to keep it under the 8x10ish size.

Order number 6 is in!!!

No one ordered 8x10 Acros100 surprisingly, but a bunch of 8x10 Velvia50 of course and 4x5 Velvia50 and most notably some 8x10 fujibrom WP AM print paper!

Should be able to post it all sometime this week.

Enjoy everyone! I tried to upload the other cell phone pics but the "image is too large" and I can't easily resize on my phone, so, enjoy the one or go to my FB group page to see the rest or follow for future group buys.
