For Sale VC Bessa R2A USA only

VC Bessa R2A in great condition. The VF/RF is aligned properly with all frame lines working and clear. Focusing is accurate and easy with the well aligned and bright RF. Metering is working accurately on both automatic and manual. Exposure lock works properly. Flash works properly. Exposures have been consistent and accurate. There is very little wear except for minor paint loss at the typical spots (lower corners where camera is set down on surfaces, hot shoe, and upper corner where finger rests using shutter button, etc. - please see pictures). This is a great camera that I have used for about four years. During that time, I have only changed the batteries (SR44) twice, with the last time being a few weeks ago. I am selling only because I have too many cameras and need to get back to reality. This camera is an excellent value. It's not a Leica, but it is compact, takes great pictures and can use most lenses (there are some lenses that protrude too far into the shutter area to use) with Leica M-mount or Leica thread mount with adapter. I have a silver 50/1.5 LTM Nokton, a black 15/4.5 LTM, and a silver Avenon 28/3.5 with finder that I will eventually put up for sale. All are in great shape. I planned to sell them after I sold the cameras (I have a Leica M5 for sale also here in the classified), and wanted to keep the lenses most suited to the camera I kept.

Thanks. Although I've owned both Leica and Voigtlander cameras, I would say the Bessa is a better value. No doubt the Leica is a better camera.
