Rodenstock Geronar is a modern multi coated triplet. I have a 210mm Geronar for sale on Fbay.
That shower drain thing on the end of the lens looks cool. What does that do?
The thing to remember about nylons and Vasaline as we all get older is not to mix them upFrom the title of this thread, I expected something else entirely... ha!
At my age, I will make do with my Zeiss Softar filters. 'Diffusion' most likely means a growing cataract in my eye.

Silk stockings are better. Do they even sell sil stockings anymore?A small square of black pantyhose gets stretched between 2 blank filter holders and attached to the font of the lens. Do they even sell pantyhose anymore?
Those too: https://www.amazon.ca/s?k=silk+stoc...ilk+stocki,aps,229&ref=nb_sb_ss_ts-doa-p_1_11Do they even sell sil stockings anymore?
I find that Cokin filters gives you all that you could ever want in an easily managed and quickly reversible package. What are some of your favorite tricks for pushing the artistic boundaries of your images? Drinking glasses? Water? Mirrors? Nose grease? Reversed lenses? Cracked filters?
What about tricks during the enlarging stage?
Didn't know her. Really like her stuff. Thanks for the intro.Susan Burnestine makes her own cameras and lenses. Here is her work: http://www.susanburnstine.com
Talk to me, I can make that happen too. That’s a LF lens though right? Unfortunately I don’t have a LF camera yet, but God willing I’ll have a 4x5 something or nother soon.
Rubber band, or possibly use knicker elastic.Woman's hose stretched across front of lens, held in place with rubber band, then take your cigarette and burn a hole in the middle to get a spot of desired sharp focus.
I would love one for my P645N. Do you know how Craig Strong first made his original Lensbaby? He used a piece of vacuum cleaner hose. Kinda like freelensing, but with the hose between the lens and the camera. If they made a lensbaby for the RB that would just be nifty.

Sounds kinda similar, might be time to play. That's how @Leanne Taylor explained her magnifying glass trick to me. She uses a piece of black plastic that comes with Ilford papers and taped one end of it to a filter on the end of her lens, and the other to the magnifying glass.
