Are there any problems with vacuum sealing film prior to freezing (other than convenience)? These are loose film canisters, out of their original packaging.

Sounds like a good way to remove excess moisture before freezing. I dont think it will harm at all, probably better for it.

I have been doing this for several years and haven't had any problem. A few times I even left the canisters in the boxes and didn't notice any difference.
