I know some people use surplus industrial type vacuum frames for contact printing. Does anybody know where I could buy the seal part without having to buy a whole frame?

Dan, if you're talking about the rubber material, I have used 1/4" neoprene available from most rubber suppliers. Spending 20 or 30 minutes in their shop explaining what you want to do will likely get you everything you need other than the actual frame and glass. I've found most specialist suppliers to be very helpful in my problem solving needs.
