I haven't printed in silver for a long time, favouring contact prints in pt/pd. I'm missing it enough to want to start again, but instead of enlarging as I used to, want only to contact print. My question is, can I use the UV BLB tubes currently installed in my light box, or will they be much too quick for silver or have some other adverse affect? Contrast? As I'll be going between processes, it would be easier not to have to change sources...

Thanks.

If you are using VC paper, stick to a normal output bulb. Most people use either their enlarger or a hanging light bulb to light contact prints on silver paper.
