Hey everyone,

I recently got a Rolleicord Vb Type 2, which has a 12-exposure counter. It shoots 120 film great (my first time shooting medium format!), but I also want to try shooting 35mm on it.

I picked up a Rolleikin set that came with the frame counter wheel, but it seems that wheel is only meant for the Rolleiflex models.

From what I’ve read, there are 16 and 24 exposure counter disks available for the Rolleicord. Am I right in thinking that I’d need one of these to advance the film correctly when shooting 35mm? Also, when using a standard 36-exposure roll, should I use the 24 exposure counter?

Thank you!

I have, but have not yet used, a Rolleikin on a Vb. But I have used the 16 and 24 adapter and can assure you that they are not compatible with the Rolleikin. Those kits use masks to adapt the 6x6 to the reduced frame sizes on 120 film. This document will explain...

This document provides a nice audit of what parts are in each Rolleikin kit:
