Using Photoshop Elements for Digital Negatives

I have a copy of PE6. I've added the Smartcurve plug-in which gives some abiltiy to use curves. Does anyone have any idea if I can use this set-up to make digital negatives for alt processes? By which method? I've searched both this forum and the web and haven't discovered an answer. I'd like to avoid making the investment in Photoshop if possible.

IF PE6 supports the use of curves and can save and load a curve file and if PE6 will support a color fill layer in SCREEN mode you should be okay.

Try Pierre-Olivier's plug-in. Not sure if it only works with CS2/3 or if it supports other versions of Photoshop like Elements.

Thanks. I can't find any indication on the web site so I'll need to e-mail. I may just have to purchase a copy of CS3; my daughter can obtain it at an academic discount rate.
