My T4 is one of the "Don't leave home without it" cameras. Just wondering if I can hand hold a Cokin filter in front of the lens/sensor to add punch to my B&W negs. Yellow K2,Orange or Red #25.

Thank You,
Mike

Sure, as long as the filter covers the sensor as well as the lens. Usually my wife uses the T4s, but I've taken a few shots with it, and I've used warming and color correction filters in that way.

If you wanted to make it a semi-permanent adjustment, one option would be to tape a gel filter over the film gate and another piece of filter over the sensor.
