Using an LR44 in my Olympus Pen FT?

I asked this question in another threat, got a few different answers. It was also suggested that I jump in here and ask if the camera has a balanced bridge circuit? I was told that the LR44 might make the power going to the light meter unstable unless there's some kind of mod or other in the camera.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

There is no 'balanced bridge circuit' in your Pen FT. You'll need some modification to use SR44 batteries.

D.I.Y. 625-kits (with BAT43 Schottky diode and a 100 Ω resistor) or just order a complete BAT43 adapter.

SR44 (silver oxide) would be preferable to LR44 (alkaline) because the alkaline battery's voltage will drop off sooner.

A 357 is said to be equivalent to an SR44, but with less internal resistance -- I personally do not know.
