Using a Lubitel 166U with a tripod?

Hey all,

Anyone know any adapters or something to use a Lubitel 166U with a tripod? The tripod stem is too short and there's also a gap since the hole for the screw is raised. Not sure how I should go about this.

I don't have a Lubitel 166U but I made a wodden tray for a pinhole camera without tripod socket.
The tray fits on my tripod - it looks like the -overpriced- Berlebach Projector Tray https://www.berlebach.de/?bereich=details&id=352&sprache=english
Maybe you can DIY something similar.

How can the tripod stem be too short?
Does the actual thread starts recessed in that hole?

In case of too short male thread you can take a hermaphrodite-screw from an old camera-bag as intermediate. These often have longer male parts.

I overlooked there is a tripod socket on the Lubitel ...
I don't get the problem with the short tripod stem ... ?

In addition to my handicraft : I screwed a quick release plate under the tray to use it with my tripod ball head.

I will see if I can DIY something or perhaps use washers. The male tripod screw is too long so the Lubitel tilts side to side on it. Perhaps it's the wrong fit entirely. I think the DIY wood plate would be best

The hole in the Lubitel just isn't very deep. I checked out the link you send me and mine doesn't have a cork bottom, then again it's a newer model.

That cort plate was attached by the owener.

You say the tripod stem is too short, then you say the hole is too short. That is puzzling.

Some tripod heads have an added screw under the plate, by which one can control the lenght of the screw protruding obove, thus adapting for a too short hole.
The way for anyone to tackle such issue is to attach something between camera bottom and the tripod plate, this may be as simpla as a piece of cardboard, like a beer-mat/coaster.

I'm sorry I seem to have messed that up. The tripod stem is too long, the hole is short. Thank you for verifying. I think I'm going to order a piece of cork and try to fit it to the bottom
