Just curious how much havoc I will cause by using a SR44 1.55v battery instead of the recommended 675 1.35v mercury battery. Will the meter really be "far off"?

The meter could vary as much as two stops, in addition, the additional voltage could cause the meter to short out or have a very short life, the only reason I know, is because I did it on the exact same model many years ago right after the 675's were getting harder to find, there are many companies that specialize in this type of situation, maybe someone has a URL for a couple of them, right now they all escape me!

Thanks for the info, Dave. I just now found the 675 in Walmart (an 8 pack) for $6.79. They are 1.4 volt, and can be found near the Pharmacy. Refered to as a Hearing Aid battery. Go figure. Thanks again.
