I'm selling a good user condition Leica M3 Single Stroke with a high serial number; higher than 1,100,000. Mechanically it is perfect; the shutter is accurate, doesn't leak light, and gives even exposures at the highest speeds. Rangefinder is perfectly aligned and accurate.
There is a little bit of vulcanite missing in small patches on the ends near the baseplate and in a few other places, shown in the photos; and the chrome has a lot of marks and scuffs but no dents. The front cover glass on the viewfinder has two spots of what look like fungus that have been there all the time I have owned the camera; they haven't grown, so it is dead and not a threat to the camera's future. I've highlighted them in one of the photos. This is not a camera for collectors, so if you're going to nitpick every mark on it, you won't want it. This is for someone who wants a good perfectly functioning camera for actual photography.
I'm not sure what to price this at; a check with ebay and several camera stores that specialize in Leicas show them going for as little as $950 for broken parts cameras, or as much as $2300 for ones in nice, but not mint, condition. Lets go for $1400 to start. That includes shipping in the US.
The top cover has some bright marks, I think from someone in the past using a Leicameter on it. They didn't show up well in the other pic of the top, so I made a new photo.
