Yet more problems with the damned machine. Ink cartridge( genuine Epson ) warning lights flashing at random.
Question is whether there are any reliable A3 printers offered for sale by HP, Epson etc and where can I can get unbiased reviews.
Yours in desperation and frustration.

If you are printing mostly glossy, then the new dye ink epsons are pretty decent. Fade resistance for a dye ink are rather incredible, even when using matte papers like Hawk Mountain art papers. The only drawback is that the dmax of black on matte papers is not real great.

The new pigment based HP printers are also very good.

Sorry I don't have specific models, but I've put my self way out on the fringe for a while. The best place to look around for something like this may be other forums like DPreveiw and look at the complaints that come up and how often there are problems.

I had pizza wheel marks on glossy media with my B9180. Quite bad experience with HP Support, they refused to agree it was problem. According to them, gallery quality is a print full of pinpoint stripes going down the dark areas.

Fortunately, the dealer was very responsive and are exchanging the printer. If the new printer show the same marks I can get a refund.

That said, the prints on matt paper are very very good. I'm quite impressed actually.

And: no pizza wheels so far on Agfa CopyJet OHP, which is great.
