Hi! I am planning on purchasing a used jobo cpp2 type 4080 this week and am wondering what I need to check for to make sure it's in full working condition before I take it home. I'll be able to test it when I pick it up, but don't really want to spend time developing a roll in a stranger's house, so I'm wondering if there's any other way to check to make sure it's fully functional.
Thanks!

I'd fill the reservoir and test the recirc pump. Also would load a tank (ie-largest you plan to use) with the proper volume of water (instead of wasting chemistry) for said tank and run through the speeds. I'd go heavy on the tank size to stress it. Bring a calibrated thermometer as well to compare the heater. My CPP-2 reads about .5c° higher compared to my Kodak process thermometer. For b/w processing, it's insignificant.

Lastly, check the serial number (back of the lift unit). Most people will look for 2xxxx if they plan to use Expert drums although many also don't feel that's necessary.
