An ebay seller says you can do it, but also says F3 screens can't be used in a F/F2 because of the tab.

The F/F2 screens have a different metal frame than the F3 screens. So if you want to use a F screen in your F3, you need an F3 frame in which to remount the glass and plastic unit. The F3 screens were brighter. And I recall some people made the shift the other way: they bought the better F4 screens and moved the glass/plastic unit into a F3 frame.

It would be nice to only buy screens for the F/F2 (I have both), & also to use them in the F3 (which I also have) as a matter of economics.
