Hi all-

you might know me from this forum as a long-term member and a passionate advocate for analog/historical photography.

I teach historic processes, large format, and studio photography at Glen Echo Photoworks, outside Washington DC.

The first class on offer is Introduction to Platinum/Palladium Printing.

Dates and times - October 2nd - October 3rd, Saturday and Sunday 10am-4pm

This course is an introduction to the historic Platinum/ Palladium printing process. We will learn how to prepare paper, expose, and process prints. We will use digitally enlarged negatives for this class, but we will also cover how to use traditional in-camera film negatives. All materials will be provided by the instructor. There is a $50 per student materials fee due to the instructor at the first class session. More Info: dcphotoartist at gmail dot com. Minimum age 18.

The second class is Advanced Platinum/Palladium Printing

Dates and Times: November 13th - October 14th, Saturday and Sunday 10am-4pm

This course covers advanced topics in working with the historic Platinum/Palladium printing process. We will work with different types of paper, discuss and demonstrate troubleshooting techniques, and try out variations in the process. We will use digitally enlarged negatives for this class, but we will also cover how to use traditional in-camera film negatives. All materials will be provided by the instructor. There is a $50 per student materials fee due to the instructor at the first class session.

Each course is $350, and will be conducted in-person at the Glen Echo Photoworks facility in Glen Echo, Maryland.
Strict COVID safety protocols will be observed, and enrollment is limited to maintain social distancing.
